Affirmations

How To Affirm

Affirm that which you desire as though it is already in the Here and Now. Never say "I am going to be wealthy!" This puts your desire somewhere way off in the future. State, "I am wealthy now!", even if you are not. Always remember that your subconscious doesn't know the difference between a truth or a lie. The constant repeating of an affirmation will bring your desire to the present, if not immediately then in due time.

Affirm your desire in the positive. Never focus on the negative. DO NOT even mention it! Whenever you affirm, you must act as though you desire has already arrived.

Write your affirmations down or speak them aloud. Many times you may do both or a combination of the two until you have the affirmation memorized. Speaking aloud your affirmation allows the subconscious mind to take to heart your desire and to start the response process right away. Writing, reading and thinking your affirmation silently is a slower process, because your mind must assimilate and translate them into its own inner speech. Often it is not convenient to speak the affirmation aloud at which times writing, reading and thinking the affirmation will have to suffice.

Repeating the affirmation is of great importance. You should say them aloud as many as 100 times in one session. You can also write them down as many times as you can in one session. This will take time. Saying, writing or reading your affirmation 100 times in one day will not bring your desired result about immediately. It is generally recommended that you focus on one affirmation for a period of at least 30 days to allow your subconscious mind to register the new changes and to accept the new positive belief system you are affirming.

Once you have written, spoken, thought or read your affirmation, release it into the air around you without any attachment to it. Trust your desire will be arrive exactly at the exact correct time. Trust and release that it will happen.

Always make your words loving. By constantly approaching your body, life, health and situations with love, then those areas will respond back with love to you.

Do not be surprized if some negative emotions arrive. Do not be surprized if you hear a little voice whispering fiercely the opposite of that which you are affirming. It will happen! Continue with the affirmation firmly and gently. This will cause your ego to take a backseat and to cease its cruel and unnecessary comments. By doing so you are not forgetting or losing your ego, you are simply putting it in its place and taking control of your life.

Your ego is your guardian. Your subconscious is your administrator. When your ego is commanding your subconscious, it has dominion over you and the occurrences and events in your life. When you begin to feed your subconscious mind with your new affirmations the ego will attempt to do its job and to guard you against this new food you are providing to your inner self. Like any new food ingested into the body it will take time for the ego to adjust. Do not give in. Keep on feeding your subconscious with small, repetitive portions of this new food and eventually your ego will become silent or partner up with you once it realizes it is safe.
